Epidemic Art at Dogmatic this Saturday!

Christa Donner's artist-made book on alternative anatomy and wall collage
exploring the viral nature of physical and psychological epidemics will be
part of the group exhibition "Narratives, Sequences, Characters," opening at
Dogmatic Gallery, opening Saturday, May 13th.

The exhibition will run one week only (though May 20th), with a public
opening reception from 6-10pm. Dogmatic is located in the Butcher Shop
artist's space at 1319 Lake St, 3rd Floor. The gallery is open from non -
6pm on Saturdays or by appointment: dogmatic@msn.com. Evening and weekend
street parking is available on Lake Street, and CTA access is provided by
the Green Line Train.

Call For Art-Science Collaborations! Deadline: May 12

SPACES <http://www.spacesgallery.org> , Cleveland's artist-run, alternative
art gallery, is seeking applications from artists and curators for its
2006-2007 exhibition season. SPACES exhibitions feature artists who push
boundaries by experimenting with new forms of expression and innovative uses
of media. Exhibition proposals and artwork dealing with any theme is
welcome; however, three ideas are highlighted for the 2006-2007 season:

* Artists collaborating with scientists to produce art dealing with
scientific experimentation and/or inventions;
* Artists working within the public realm/integrating art into civic
projects and/or discourse;

* and artwork with an explicit tactile nature.
